What This Class Teaches
Labor positions and breathing
Use practical positions for early labor, active labor, and pushing. Learn simple breathing patterns to stay focused, reduce tension, and work with contractions when things get intense.
Perineal stretching
Learn when perineal stretching may help, how to do it safely, and what to avoid. You will also get comfort tips and hygiene basics for home practice.
Counter-pressure techniques
Practice counter-pressure for back labor and hip pressure routines for comfort. Your partner will learn what to press, when to press, and how to adjust pressure to what feels best.
Medical interventions
Understand common interventions like induction, continuous monitoring, IV fluids, epidurals, and assisted birth. Learn typical reasons they are offered, benefits and tradeoffs, and questions to ask in the moment.
